Bigger, Taller Seminole Heights Branch Library Opening in November

The library is at 4711 N. Central Avenue in Seminole Heights.

Last fall, an excavator demolished the Seminole Heights Branch Library at 4711 N. Central Avenue.

The $3.9 million library renovation is expected to be finished late this year, boasting additional parking, a computer lab and a children's department where the old library once was.

In addition, the new library will be 22,000 square feet, and stand two stories tall.

"It should open in late November," said Bill Hand, project manager with real estate and facilities services for Hillsborough County.

In the meantime, we stopped by this week to see what the construction looks like. Check out a video gallery of the library's renovations.
