Tampa Mayor's New Rail Transit Plan For Seminole Heights
The Mayor said he wants to create rail transit into Seminole Heights.
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn said that as part of his InVision Tampa plan will bring rail transit into Seminole Heights. A major part of that plan is creating a rail transit system from downtown Tampa along Nebraska Ave., north to Hillsborough Ave. According to TBO.com, "The next phase of the InVision project starts next month. It will focus on reinventing Nebraska Avenue between downtown and Hillsborough Avenue in a way that includes a mass-transit corridor." Yes, I did consider it. Chris, did you consider that it actually costs money to put rail in? The last time I checked, Tampa's budget didn't include enough funds for rail which is why we had a vote to increase the local sales tax. I'm not opposed to rail.
