Three people were arrested by authorities after allegedly stripping a Seminole Heights pawn shop of $1 million in jewelry and $30,000 in cash on Friday morning, according to a report from the Tampa Police Department. Here's what happened, according to the report: A man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a dark bandana over his face entered the Value Pawn at 5123 N. Nebraska Avenue around 9:26 a.m. on Friday. He flashed a gun and moved employees to a back room of the business. Once inside the room, the man tied up a male employee and asked a female employee to open a safe. Update 3:30 p.m. The Tampa Police Department says they got call at 2:20 p.m. from someone at Hillsborough High School and responded with "a concern there was an active shooter scenario." Within minutes, 2 officers responded to the school. In all, 53 police officers responded to the school and searched the school, floor by floor. During the search they found lit fireworks on campus. Police believe that the fireworks resulted in the noise that caused concern. Detectives are currently interviewing students in an attempt to determine who set off the fireworks. What began as a fight at a local bar ended in a deadly crash early this morning in Seminole Heights. Around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, Tampa Police responded to the Interstate Lounge, 9403 N. Nebraska Ave, to a report of two women fighting. When officers arrived, both women were gone, according to a Tampa Police report. Police say a woman and a man left in a 2002 white Pontiac Grand-Am, which officers saw driving north on Nebraska Avenue. That's when police say the woman driving the car, Kathleen Trombley of Brooksville, sped up, drove on the sidewalk and attempted to run over two male pedestrians. Wednesday night, just before 9 p.m., three men with guns entered the Family Dollar at 6006 N. Nebraska Ave. in Tampa and demanded money from the register, according to the Tampa Police Department. No one was injured. All three suspects are described as men between 5'6" and 5-8" tall and they were all wearing black clothing. Tampa Police say that she rubbed a shoe on the face of a 5-year-old autistic student.
A Seminole Heights Elementary School teacher has been charged with child abuse, according to an article on TBO.com. The article says that Esraa Mohamed Soliman, of 10858 Breaking Rocks Drive, Tampa, rubbed a shoe on the face of a 5-year-old autistic student. Soliman is a temporary teacher at the school.

Someone kicked in the front door of Vélo Champ bicycle shop and stole a $2,000 bike Sunday night, Tampa Police report. The suspect set off the alarm when he entered the building, at 6112 N. Central Ave., and stole a Cinelli Experience road bike that was near the front door, according to a report from Tampa Police's District 2. The shop's owners have security video footage of the suspect, who was last seen traveling southbound on Central Avenue near East Comanche Avenue, authorities said. Crime scene investigators processed the scene, and K-9 units were unable to track the suspect. Olimpia De La Caridad Prado left her home in the 1000 block of East 25th Avenue on Wednesday morning and had not been seen all day. She was later located in New Tampa.
An 83-year-old woman with dementia who had been missing all day Wednesday, Nov. 30, has been safely located in New Tampa. Olimpia De La Caridad Prado left her home in the 1000 block of East 25th Avenue on Wednesday morning around 10 a.m. Her family called police because it was unusual for her to be away from home for so long. But at 6:37 p.m. Wednesday a resident of New Tampa called authorities after finding the Robles Park area resident in his backyard, police said. "She appeared to be in good health and was safely returned to her family," according to a news release from Tampa Police. No other details were available from authorities.

Tampa Police officers were attempting an undercover drug buy at 10:45 a.m. Thursday when the suspect tried to drive into them, spokeswoman Andrea Davis said in a news release. Willie James Conner III, 26, was behind the wheel of a 2000 Buick and crashed into a fence. He then drove away, hitting a citizen’s vehicle at North 19th Street and Giddens Avenue, Davis said. The other driver saw Conner get out of the car and take a child out of his back seat and run away. A passenger in Conner’s vehicle then drove the Buick away, Davis said.
