A public information open house is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. to discuss a proposal for intensive commercial zoning along Hillsborough and Florida avenues in Seminole Heights. The open house will take place at the Seminole Heights Garden Center, 5800 N. Central Ave., Tampa. The City of Tampa Planning Department is proposing new zoning that would permit: Representatives from the planning department will be on hand to explain the proposed rezoning in more detail. The Old Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association is urging all neighbors who would like to understand exactly how the proposed rezoning will impact the neighborhood, ask questions or express concerns to attend.

Seminole Heights residents will be treated a two-decade old tradition on Dec. 9 when the Old Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association hosts its annual Holiday Dinner and Concert.
