The vet gave Brindle a 20 percent chance of surviving.
Almost exactly one year ago, Bree Rauck was volunteering with a local animal rescue. She loved dogs and wanted a chance to give back. Cathy, a co-founder of the rescue told her that a puppy would be arriving soon and to watch for it. Soon, a lady came walking up with a malnourished, injured and broken male pup. He had been found roaming Busch Boulevard in Tampa. Bree’s heart went out the pup, and she called her husband to ask if they could foster it. Her husband, Tracy, shared Bree's enthusiasm for animals and said of course! That night and most of Saturday, the puppy, which they named Brindle, was lively and happy. Then, all of a sudden on Saturday night he became lethargic and began vomiting. Brindle didn't act at all like the puppy he…

Name: Chloe Breed: Pit Bull Age: 6 years Owners: Ann and James Cosentino What is her personality like? “Chloe has a wonderful story and puts a good face on what is usually known as a feared breed, the pit bull,” Ann Cosentino said. “However, we often refer to her as a Staffordshire Terrier in the presence of [timid] dog people.” How did you adopt her? “My husband found her while doing an residential home appraisal in an abandoned garage. Her little head popped out of a garbage bag and her tail wagged at the site of a friendly human. Her fur was gone and her skin was nothing but scabs left behind by ravenous fleas. …My husband was not looking for a dog after having recently put a dog down, but Chloe found him and wormed her way into his …

Well, obviously I've fallen on hard times if you're looking at my mug on this Web site. Yeah, my wife left me for a younger dog (I'm only 6 years old!), then my dog house got foreclosed on by the bank. The bottom line is that I'm a nice guy looking for some companionship. You won't find anyone more loyal and I've been told I'm a great kisser! If you're interested, have your people contact my people and we'll set up a meeting. Don't drag your feet, I may be homeless at the moment, but with these good looks I won't be on the market for long! I got a room in the Tampa Bay area while I look for my permanent home, thanks to Buddy’s Buddies Animal Rescue. You can get in touch with me at pattiwagon1@hotmail.com I am neutered, vaccinated, house …

Really? A second dog? I never thought it would happen to me.
As we all know, sometimes life does not always point us in the direction we want to go. Often, we don’t even know that we need or really want something until we have it. I can say this is true when I let Grayson, a 75-pound Lab-Weimaraner mix, come stay with us. It was a pure fluke that he even ended up at my place. His foster parents had decided to take a weekend camping trip at the beginning of May and needed someone to watch him. They returned on the same weekend that another foster, a much smaller Lab mix named Raven, would be dropped off for me to watch. You can see from the pictures, Grayson is a pretty big boy, as Kaiah, my black Lab mix, is no lap dog. When Grayson’s foster mom returned from camping, she asked if they could take…
