Volunteers Will Do the Laundry in East Ybor

Current of Tampa Bay will organize a volunteer group to do an overlooked service for the needy: the laundry.

Volunteers from Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. will spend Saturday, April 28, volunteering their time to help wash the clothes of those less fortunate. The project will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ybor Wash House located at 1805 N. 34th St. Residents can go and get their laundry and linen washed and dried for free. Over the past couple of years there has been an influx of young people offering support to Current and their mission. “Youth volunteering has multiple benefits; not only do they have an opportunity to serve the community but they also get a chance to promote a cause they deem important.
