Photos: What's Up with the Billboard Made out of 120,000 Pennies?

Have you noticed the highway billboard made entirely out of pennies near Interstate 275 and Hillsborough Avenue?

Submitted by Leah Saunders: TAMPA, FL -- Locals in Seminole Heights were talking about the highway billboard made entirely out of pennies near Interstate 275 and nearby Hillsborough Avenue. The most popular question: How many pennies are up there? The answer is: about 120,000. That is $1,200. The billboard went up this week and it promotes Tampa-based Zeno Office Solutions’ new "Penny a Print" program. The program gives businesses a free printer with unlimited toner and maintenance - the businesses only pay for paper, along a penny per print. Tampa is the first market for this national campaign. No problem because it ISN'T against the law. You can deface and mutilate you coins all you like as long as it is not done with fraudulent intent. I don't see any fraudulent intent here. One thing that IS illegal though is to melt down the cents. And they aren't melting them. Currency on the other hand is another matter.
