Tampa Police recovered several items stolen during residential burglaries throughout Tampa over the past year. Is this your stuff?
Duane Armstrong, 34, of Sulphur Spring was arrested on charges of burglary, grand theft, and petit theft, on Thursday, April 19, according to Tampa Police Department. The alleged serial burglar committed dozens of burglaries throughout Tampa and possibly Hillsborough County and other surrounding counties over the past year, according to Tampa Police. A search warrant was executed at Armstrong's residence at 8502 N. 15th St., where Tampa Police District 2 officers discovered a variety of stolen items, such as jewelry, foreign money, firearms, and electronics, said Tampa police Lt. He would arrive driving a charcoal-grey Nissan Altima with black rims and would make sure no one was home, sometimes by ringing the door bell. Then, he would break into the house by smashing a rear window and take off with jewelry and electronics he either pawned or kept at his Sulphur Spring home, accordind to the Tampa Police Department. A Sulphur Spring serial burglar was arrested on charges of burglary, grand theft, and petit theft, according to the Tampa Police Department. Tampa Police District 2 officers arrested Duane Armstrong, 34, Thursday, April 19, and discovered unusual property in his home at 8502 N. 15th St., such as jewelry, foreign coins and other interesting items, according to a Tampa Police Department press release. Detectives are looking for victims to return the property, the release said. Additional details are not available yet.
