Tampa Police, Banks Reward Outstanding Teen Volunteers at RICH House
Four Chamberlain High School students who volunteer their time at the RICH House received iPods recovered from an ID theft arrest as a thank you from police and local banks.
Six months ago, Tampa Police Officer Harry Augello figured he was searching for a ghost. On June 16, an unidentified man went on a 12-hour, $30,000 shopping spree in the Westshore shopping district using stolen credit cards, he said. Eventually, the suspect that Officer Augello was searching for would turn out to be the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come for several deserving students in Central Tampa's Sulphur Springs neighborhood. But first, a look back into the past. When Officer Augello started his investigation, he followed the footsteps of the thief.
