The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Seminole Heights hosted a wrap-up party on Monday, May 7, at the Common Ground Christian Church. Fundraising totals were announced as well as awards for the top individual and team fundraiser. Relay for Life of Seminole Heights event chair Chad Daughtrey said that Alexis Spivak won the Top Individual Fundraiser Award and Common Ground Christian Church, captained by Sara Ives, won the Top Team Fundraiser Award. The 2012 Relay for Life of Seminole Heights raised $47,000 for cancer research, according to Daughtrey. Daughtrey said that this year’s goal was to raise $52,000.
