Brewster Technical Center
2222 N Tampa St, Tampa, FL 33602

The school is named for Dr. Henry W. Brewster. Brewster and his wife, Florence, moved to Tampa from Minnesota in theMore early 1900s. After his death in 1923, Brewster's wife donated the land on which the school is located as a memorial to him with a stipulation that an "opportunity school" be built to help young people.

The school provides occupational courses and on-the-job training. In August 1989, the new Brewster Technical School complex was completed.

Brewster is part of the Hillsborough County School District. It offers day, evening and online coursework in business, industrial, health and computer careers. The school also offers courses for those who need additional high school credits to earn a diploma.

In addition, Brewster provides courses for students learning English as a second language, adults and out-of-school youth seeking a GED and students with disabilities.

Campus tours are offered every second and fourth Tuesday at 10 am. Financial aid is available.

The school colors are red and white, and the school motto is: "Learning for Everyone -- Whatever It Takes."
