Key to Awesomeness: “Daquavia Glover is a very successful student who has overcome a lot of obstacles during her younger years,” Sneed said. “Being a past student of the Tampa Heights Junior Civic Association and now attending Blake High School, Daquavia is taking up culinary arts and one day wants to attend the Art Institute of Tampa. Daquavia also plays basketball for the varsity girls basketball team. What makes Daquavia such an awesome student is her ability to take initiative in accomplishing  her goals and achieving them. I want to say that Daquavia demonstrates the perfect teen who has the ability to achieve whatever she wants. Going through what she has experienced has been a challenge for her, but like she has told me before, ‘Coach Pat, there’s never a day that I have ever experienced that is a challenge to me, I just got to keep moving in a positive direction and leave every negative behind.’”

Each week, Seminole Heights Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual  kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid.  Nominate yours .
