Shopping With a Purpose: A Benefit for the Centre

A Tuesday evening reception is planned at Cleanse Apothecary to benefit The Centre - a nonprofit organization serving the Tampa area since 1977.

This coming Tuesday evening, will host a reception benefitting The Centre. Serving Tampa since 1977, the nonprofit organization offers programs ranging from employment preparation and substance abuse treatment for women, home repair and rehabilitation for low-income seniors, individual and family counseling, and after-school and summer programs for girls.

This past August, Cleanse owner Gregory Curtis got involved with The Centre when he was asked to to donate to their 20th Annual Gourmet Feastival. When Curtis met with Centre Director of Development and Community Relations Linzy Wilson, they talked about the various programs The Centre provides, which compelled Curtis to get more involved with the organization.

“They are an awesome organization," Curtis said. "It’s just one of our ways to give back to the community.”
