Help Build the Tampa Heights Community and Youth Center

Volunteers are needed at the weekly workday this Saturday at the site of the former Faith Temple Baptist Church.

The public is invited to a workday this Saturday — and every Saturday — to help build the Tampa Heights Community and Youth Center.

The needs volunteers as it works to turn the former Faith Temple Baptist Church, 602 E. Palm Ave., into a new community center for kids.

Volunteers have spent the past year on the project, . This week the group will continue painting the exterior trim and masonry of the building, it said in its weekly newsletter email, and it asks that you bring old rags if you have them. No special skills are necessary.
