Celebrate Fourth of July With Fireworks and More

Here is a list of fun ways to spend your Fourth of July holiday in the Seminole Heights area.

Looking for something fun to do with the kids or a night on the town with that special someone this Fourth of July? Don't sweat it, Patch has you covered with a complete list of Seminole Heights-area events for the holiday this July 4.

  • is hosting Red, White and Zoo week July 1-7. Active members of the military may take up to three dependants can get into the park for free this week with a valid military I.D.
  • The Florida Aquarium will welcome guests after 5 p.m. at a discounted price of $15. Guests can stick around to watch the fireworks at Channelside after touring the aquarium and enjoy all American themed dinner options at the Sea Star pavilion.
  • The Tampa Bay History Center will offer free admission to see costumed reenact ors representing several eras of American military history who will depict soldiers, sailors and citizens through the Civil War, Seminole War, Spanish American War, and World War II. They'll also share hands-on displays of artifacts, uniforms, crafts and music. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, click here.
  • Celebrating at home? It's never too late to grab some extra fireworks for that family gathering or barbecue at the house. Galaxy Fireworks on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd is offering coupons this holiday including buy one item over $50 and get another for 50% off. Also, with any purchase of $10 or more, customers can get free bottle rockets as well. To find coupons, visit www.galaxyfireworks.com.
  • Channelside's infamous fireworks display will begin at 9 p.m. with a day of festivities kicking off at 1 p.m. Live music, kids activities and other forms of entertainment will be on hand. The best area to catch the fireworks is from the wharf, but only the first 3,000 people will be allowed onto the wharf, so get to the Garrison Street Gate at 7 p.m. to ensure your spot. Admission to the event is free.
