Hillsborough finished 10-4-2 and was competitive against all comers this season. The Terriers are led by senior Megan Nelson. Gaither (9-4-2) and Freedom (9-1-3) are also considered district tournament favorites.

Chamberlain struggled early in the season, but played more cohesively near the end and could give Hillsborough a better-than-expected first-round match.

Middleton faces a formidable first round foe in Robinson (9-3). Steinbrenner (14-2) is expected to win this district after a dominating regular season.

Tampa Catholic has been inconsistent and finished in the middle of the pack during the regular season. Tournament host Berkeley and Clearwater Central Catholic are considered the frontrunners to advance to the finals.
