Yoga for Headaches and Migraines with Jennifer Yarter, RYT200

If you're not a fan of heading to the medicine cabinet when you feel a headache or migraine coming on, then head straight to your yoga mat. Headaches can be caused by a variety of reasons like tension in your neck, tight shoulders, or back pain, and this restorative yoga practice is designed to gently stretch and open those areas, while circulating blood and oxygen to your head. In this workshop, learn specific pain relief techniques such as pranayama breathing exercises, restorative asanas (and learn which asanas to avoid), craniosacral pressure points and meditative visualization exercises.

Instructor Jennifer Yarter is a RYT-200 hour yoga teacher who trained directly with Ana Forrest in the Forrest Yoga style. She has learned and honed these headache and migraine pain management techniques from years of working with her own migraines, and was able to successfully wean herself off the need for any prescription medications using yoga, meditation, breath work and stress reduction techniques.
