The Tampa Bay Sunday Bicyclers invite new riders on this trek today. Just bring your helmet, a full water bottle, a spare tube, and a road-worthy bicycle, of course.

Today's ride lasts about 24 miles. It covers a speed of about 12 to 16mph.

The ride begins promptly at 7:45am, leaving the Independent and heading south to MacDill Air Force Base via the new downtown Riverwalk, Bayshore Boulevard and the Gadsden Park Bike Trail.
Riders will stop at Ballast Point on the way back, returning through Hyde Park and along the winding streets that line the Hillsborough River. Afterward, enjoy Sunday brunch, pastries and gourmet coffee back at the Independent.
