Middleton High to Host Motorcycle Ride for Education on Saturday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Davin Joseph will lead the riders as they depart from Middleton High School on Saturday morning, April 7.

Middleton High School will host its third annual Motorcycle Ride for Education at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7.

Motorcycle riders, motorcycle clubs and educational supporters are invited to participate in the ride, which is aimed at promoting and increasing literacy among Middleton's diverse students.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Davin Joseph will be the lead rider, followed by Middleton principal Owen Young. The bikes will depart from Middleton, at 4801 N. 22nd St., and travel throughout Tampa Bay.

The event will also include free health screenings, food, merchandise vendors and music. There will also be community job fair from 9 a.m. to noon, and students are encouraged to attend to find possible summer employment.

Event registration will be open from 8-10 a.m. that day and costs $20. There will be a free T-shirt for the first 100 riders, plus a giveaway for a 32-inch, flat-screen TV and other prizes.

More than 200 riders and guests attended last year’s event.
