Janice Vogt, an LPN at Hillsborough High who is coordinating the event, said it's important to teach students about the value of keeping the planet intact.

"Our students are the future," she said. "It is our responsibility to teach students what they need to know to save the planet, not only for themselves, but for generations to come, and to preserve traditions at Hillsborough High school."
