Want to Improve Your Seminole Heights Neighborhood? Take a Class

Neighborhood University is set to begin in the fall, but applications are due on July 26.

Applications are being accepted for an inaugural class sponsored by Mayor Bob Buckhorn called "Neighborhood University."

The purpose of 12-week course is to allow participants a chance to establish neighborhood organizations.

“I believe strong neighborhoods provide the foundation for a great city. My commitment to our neighborhoods extends to growing the next generation of neighborhood leaders so that they can continue the progress we have made,” said Mayor Bob Buckhorn in a city news release.  “It is our hope that through the Neighborhood University, we will be able to help both current and future neighborhood presidents on whom we rely on to be the eyes, ears and voice back to us.”

The class is set to begin in the fall of 2013, but applications are due by 5 p.m. on July 26.
