Voters Should Renew Vote By Mail Requests

Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections reminds voters to renew Vote By Mail requests.

From Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office:

Recent changes to state law now require most voters to renew their request for a Vote By Mail Ballot. Last week, the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office mailed out more than 270,000 Vote By Mail requests to voters who either requested a ballot in the past, or voted early in recent elections.

"Since the 2010 General Election served as the expiration period for many Vote By Mail requests, we wanted to inform voters of the new law, and provide them with the opportunity to continue to enjoy the comfort and convenience of Vote By Mail. Vote By Mail gives all registered voters the opportunity and luxury of sitting down with their ballot, researching and studying the candidates or issues, and voting from the comfort and convenience of home," said Earl Lennard, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.
