Today is the Deadline to Request a Vote By Mail Ballot

Tampa voters need to call the county elections office today or visit the website to request an absentee ballot.

The deadline to request a Vote By Mail ballot to be mailed to you is 5 p.m. today. Registered voters can call 813-744-5900 or visit www.VoteHillsborough.org to request their Vote By Mail ballot.

Vote By Mail, also known as absentee voting, is one of three ways that Tampa residents can cast their vote in the upcoming municipal election.

"Vote By Mail gives registered voters an alternative to physically voting at the polls. It's also a fast, convenient and secure way to vote," said Earl Lennard, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.

To date, the elections office has mailed 14,440 Vote By Mail ballots, and received 5,047 in return. Voters can request and track the status of their Vote By Mail ballot online, by visiting www.VoteHillsborough.org.
