Tampa Heights and V.M. Ybor Residents and Business Owners Invited to Share Input on the Communities

Folks are invited to share their thoughts and ideas during two community meeting on Saturday, April 28.

As part of the InVision Tampa master planning initiative, the City of Tampa will host neighborhood charettes for V. M. Ybor and Tampa Heights on Saturday, April 28.

The group meeting will be preceded by walking tours, accompanied by planning experts from AECOM. After the walking tours, residents and business owners will gather to provide suggestions on improving their neighborhoods. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

The optional walking tour will take place from 10-11:45 a.m., and the neighborhood charette meetings will be from 12:15-2:15 p.m.

  • Tampa Heights Charette - Walking tour and charette meeting location: , 3305 N. Avon Ave.
  • V.M. Ybor Charette - Walking tour: Borrell Park, 808 E. 26th Ave. Charette meeting location: Ragan Park Community Center, 1200 E. Lake Ave.

Using federal grant dollars, InVision Tampa will create a master plan for the City Center of Tampa, Fla., spanning from downtown to Ybor City on the east, Armenia Avenue on the west, and north along historic Nebraska Avenue to Hillsborough Avenue. Over the next months, AECOM and Parsons Brinckerhoff, planning and transportation experts respectively, will work with the city and our community stakeholders and opinion leaders to develop a shared vision and give city leaders an implementable plan of action.
