Sign Up for Alert Tampa for Time-Sensitive Notifications

Get information about power outages, road closures and emergencies at any time.

Seminole Heights residents can get essential information on road closures, utility outages and emergencies in the city of Tampa instantly by signing up for Alert Tampa.

Through Alert Tampa, the city will send out emergency and informational alerts that you need to know about: boil water notices, major street closures, mandatory evacuations and critical threats to safety. These time-sensitive notifications will be sent directly to you via your email address and, in some instances, home phone and cell phone.

You should sign up to register if you work in Tampa, your children go to school in the city or if your family lives in the city or nearby so that you have up-to-date information.

"Alert Tampa is the fastest way for me and city staff to get a hold of you," said Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn. "Just last week, a precautionary boil water notice was issued after a power failure at our water treatment facility, and two days later, a minor tornado caused damage in Channelside."
