Update: Obama Delivers Breakfast to Tampa Firefighters

President Barack Obama made a quick stop at a Tampa firehouse before heading to Ybor City for his Oct. 25 rally.

Update 12:44 p.m. Oct. 25:

Krispy Kreme doughnuts were on the menu this morning at Tampa Fire Rescue Station No. 14 courtesy of President Barack Obama.

The President stopped at the 1325 S. Church Ave. in South Tampa on his way to the Ybor City rally.

"The President thanked Tampa Fire Rescue fighters for our service, talked with our firefighters, shot some hoops out back, and spent some time for photos, then went on to his scheduled rally in Centennial Park this morning," a fire rescue media release said. "Tampa Firefighters were delighted to have such high profile guest stop by and pay a visit;  we welcome him back anytime."

Doughnuts anyone?

That's the question President Barack Obama likely asked Tampa firefighters early this morning.

According to the President's Twitter feed, Obama made a quick stop at the firehouse this morning after landing in Tampa and he brought breakfast.

It is unclear at this time which fire station Obama visited. He is expected to speak at Ybor City's Centennial Park at 9 a.m. today, Oct. 25.

Consider these facts before you vote:
1. Is the economy better off now than it was four years ago? Based on the evidence, I'd have to say no. Wages are down, the the prices of everything we buy is up. The price of gas has doubled. Good jobs are scarce. 2. Are the slight "up tics" in the economy a solid trend in the right direction? I don't think so. First, the gains are very slight. Second, I believe they are the result in the temporary stimulus by the Federal Reserve, in which they printed a lot of new money. It provides a slight bump now, but the cost will come later - after the election. Ben Bernanke is trying to save Obama's job, along with his own. 3. The continual misrepresentation of Romney on the auto bailout by the Obama administration. Obama appears to be taking complete credit for the bailout, while simultaneously saying that Romney was for liquidation of the auto industry. This is an absolute falsehood. It was Bush who initiated the bailout and TARP. Obama continued it and then expanded it, to his credit. However, Romney was one of the first to say that the industry needed to go through bankruptcy reorganization, and eventually they did exactly that. He also said that any needed loans should come from the private sector. He never said that the industry should be liquidated, or that he would deny federal funds if he were president, and private sector funds were not available. Obama lies! 4. The Benghazi coverup and lies.

Yes, Page--I love the idea of a little fresh foods market...prepared foods, produce...it would be soRead More nice to have a place to walk to with the kids in the late afternoon, pick up a snack and some veggies for that night's dinner...a place with outdoor seating that would be a neighborhood gathering spot. A place that would become a 3x a week stop for neighbors, a place people enjoy "running up" to. I'm excited to see what happens!

I would love to see a small market in the neighborhood also. With fresh produce, and other basicRead More necessities for cooking, that you might have just run out of or forgot to pick up when you did your weekly shopping. Plus a nice selection of wine. Circle K has a good selection of beer, but there isn't a good selection of wines in the neighborhood for takeaway.

I would like to see another Family Dollar. One on every corner is not enough.
