MLK, Hillsborough Avenue Lane Closures Ahead
The closures were announced by the Florida Department of Transportation.
The I-275 widening project from State Road 60 to the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa continues to progress, with the Florida Department of Transportation providing updates on which streets will experience lane closures.
The project effects areas near Seminole Heights.
Two major roads that will have lane closures this weekend are Hillsborough Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Nightly lane closures will occur on both streets. On Hillsborough, one lane eastbound and up to two lanes westbound may be closed between Central and Nebraska avenues from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. from June 23-27, according to FDOT.
On MLK, one lane may be closed in each direction between Central and Nebraska avenues from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from June 23-27, FDOT says.
