Democracy 2.0: The Impact of #SocialMedia

The Social Media Club of Tampa Bay presents a pre-RNC event with panelists from Facebook, Google, Twitter and Yelp to discuss how social media is making a social impact in our country and around the world with "Democracy 2.0" on Saturday, Aug. 25.  Tickets start at $10, with the main event at 6 p.m. VIP tickets include 5 p.m. Meet and Greet with panelists, networking, Pinkberry and a drink ticket to the After Party.

The face of democracy is changing. So is the amplification of the voice of the electorate. Gone are the days of relying solely on traditional print and television media. Today’s political hopefuls must depend on the resources of a dynamic constituency, an America that is plugged in, mobile and most importantly social.
