Victims Beaten, Robbed at El Chuzo BBQ and Pegasus Lounge

Tampa police are still searching for suspects in those robberies, as well as one involved in an attempted collection on allegedly owed money.

Nov. 28

  • The victim was lured behind the Pegasus Lounge at 10008 N 30th St. by a white female who asked him to help her change a tire. Upon arriving at the vehicle, a black male struck him in the head with an unknown object. The suspects then took the victim's wallet, cell phone, keys, and asked him for the PIN number to his debit card, which he provided. Police obtained surveillance video of the female suspect at one of the two locations where the debit card was used immediately after the incident. The black male is described as 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, 20 to 25 years old, wearing a dark hoodie and jeans. The white female is described as in her 20s, with dark curly hair, wearing a white tank top and jeans. The suspects' car also contained another male and a female in her 20s. The car is described as a white silver older model vehicle.
  • A back door was forced open at a residence on the 8100 block of North Boulevard. Jewelry, cash, and a camera were stolen.
  • A house on the 8300 block of North Boulevard was entered through an unlocked rear window. Stolen was a Smith and Wesson .22-caliber model 422 pistol, and $340 worth of collector coins. Police recovered fingerprints at the scene.
  • A wallet and $10 were stolen from a car with an open door parked on the 1000 block of East Seward.  

Nov. 29

  • Two men entered a house on the 1700 block of S Club Circle without permission. They confronted the victim inside about $50 they claimed the victim owed them. One man demanded the victim sit in a chair while the other man searched the house. The suspects then fled the house with a large plasma television. The TV was recovered in the area of E 99th Avenue and Elmer Street with the assistance of a witness who saw one of the suspects hiding it in some bushes. That suspect was later arrested by police after returning to the area. During an interview, he identified the second suspect as "Classy." Investigators say charges are pending on Classy, who remains at large. The TV was returned to the victim.
  • A man left his unlocked apartment on the 5000 block of East Linebaugh Avenue to walk his dog. After about 20 minutes, he returned to find that his mother's room was ransacked and $500 was missing.
  • For the second time in three weeks, someone tried to break in to a house on the 300 block of West North Street. This time a window was broken out of a rear door, but entry wasn't gained due to two secured deadbolts. The suspects(s) fled undetected, but police processed fingerprints at the scene.
  • The driver's side window of a car parked on the 2000 block of E Jean Street was broken, and a Garmin GPS was stolen from inside.

  • Two armed suspects confronted the first victim outside of at 7101 N Armenia Ave. The suspects battered and kicked him, then forced him back into the restaurant. One of the suspects held the victim on floor at gun point. A second victim came from the back of the restaurant and the other suspect pointed a gun at her. The suspects took money from the cash register and fled southeast from the restaurant. The suspects wore black clothing and had their faces covered.
