Update: 2 'Suspicious' Deaths in Sulphur Springs Determined a Double Homicide

Tampa Police determined the two 'suspicious' deaths in Sulphur Springs to be a double homicide, according to TBO.com.

Tampa Police are investigating a double homicide , according to TBO.com.

On Monday, April 30, a relative of the victims went to the house at 8218 N. Brooks St. at around 1:40 p.m. Once inside, “she found the body of the man and the woman on opposite sides of the home,” TBO.com reports. “An officer who went inside the home observed the scene and determined it was a double homicide.”

The victims died from blunt force trauma and police do not know if the victims are related, TBO.com reports.

"Interviews have produced multiple names for both victims. As a result, detectives have asked the medical examiner to identify both victims via fingerprints. The victims were both adults," said Tampa Police spokesperson Laura McElroy in a press release. "Detectives have determined this is not a random act of violence. The house on Brooks Street was targeted."

At this time there is no description of the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.

Officials are on the scene at a home in the 8200 block of North Brooks Street, the release stated.
