Two Break-ins Reported in Seminole Heights

Tampa Police are investigating two Monday daytime burglaries.

Tampa Police are investigating two daytime burglaries that occurred within a few blocks of one another in Seminole Heights on Monday.

The homes are on the 5900 block of North 15th Street and the 6700 block of North 13th Street, according to an incident report.

The 15th Street home appeared to have nothing removed, but the victim told police someone had busted through the front door and that her dresser drawers had been opened, according to the report. The burglary happened between 11:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Police gathered fingerprint evidence from the front door.

At the 13th Street home, someone busted in the front door between 12:30 and 5:25 p.m.. The trespasser took an Xbox gaming system, 20 video games, an HP laptop computer, a diamond ring, diamond earrings, a Chamberlain High School class ring and several pieces of costume jewelry.

Police do not have a suspect description to release in either burglary, but a neighbor did report seeing a small silver car in the area of the 13th street home.
