Trespassers Leave Behind Drugs and Paraphernalia

Here is a look back at the Tampa Police Department's crime blotter for the Seminole Heights area over the last week.

Friday August 3

  • An unknown thief threw a brick through the kitchen window of a house in the 4700 block of North Blvd. Once inside, an Apple laptop computer was stolen.

Monday August 6

  • A suspect approached a man using his tablet outside of 100 East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Producing a 22 caliber hand gun, the suspect demanded money only to find out the victim had none. He then took the tablet and walked the victim back toward his apartment where his daughter and wife slept inside. The victim ran inside locking the suspect outside and called the police.
  • Suspects gained entry into a house in the 300 block of East Henry Avenue by breaking a window on the east side of the residence and climbing into the house using a chair to get a boost into the window. Once inside, suspects ransacked kitchen cupboards and drawers. No electronics were stolen. Connections were made to a similar break in on the 5700 block of North Central Avenue after the suspects left traces of marijuana in the house and a crack pipe on the resident's bed. Police were able to lift DNA from the pipe.
