TPD Roll Call Tonight in Tampa Heights
The Tampa Heights Civic Association will host its first Tampa Police Department Roll Call tonight.
The overnight shift of Tampa Police Department's District 3, also known as the midnight shift, will hold its roll call tonight at 8 p.m. at 300 East furniture store, 300 E Columbus Drive.
The Tampa Heights Civic Association will host tonight's roll call - its first. TPD's Lt. Brian Gant said eight to 10 officers from District 3 will be on hand. Taking the roll and fielding questions from the public will be District 3's Sgt. Chris Ugles.
Food and drink will be served, and visitors are welcome to bring a covered dish, according to THCA president Gail Smiley.

TPD periodically holds public roll calls, often at the beginning of the overnight shift, at local businesses and homes to increase neighborhood crime awareness and deter criminal activity in higher crime areas.
