Tampa Police Video Asks Citizens to "Lock it Up" While Shopping

The video kicks off Operation "Jingle Bell ROC."

Wearing red and white Santa hats and singing to the tune of the classic "Jingle Bells," four officers from the Tampa Police Department offered a simple message for holiday shoppers at local malls:

"Lock it up."

The YouTube video posted by the department is an effort to prevent crime and launch Operation "Jingle Bell Bell ROC," which aims to stop common holiday crimes that include car burglaries, car thefts and shoplifting, by adding security at Westshore Mall, International Plaza, Hyde Park Village and the Dale Mabry corridor.
