Tampa Police detectives are continuing their investigation into a shooting just before midnight Saturday, Aug. 4 in the 8600 block of North 16th Street, Tampa.
Tampa Police officers responded to a "shots fired" call and, on arrival, officers found Jared Woodard, 18, of 8116 N. Semmes St., Tampa, with a gunshot wound to his upper left chest.
Woodard was transported to Tampa General Hospital for treatment and evaluation. His injuries are considered non-life threatening and he is in stable condition.
Detectives and patrol officers are attempting to piece together the chain of events that led to the shooting.
