Police Make Arrest in Shooting Deaths of Tampa Siblings

Tampa Police arrested Tavari Grant, 18, in connection with the deaths of Kiara and Jeremi Brito.

 

TBO.com reporter Tom Brennan posted a follow up report on the murder of two South Tampa teens after police arrested Tavari Grant, 18, on Thursday in connection with the slayings.

Kiara Brito, 16, and Jeremi Brito, 13, . According to Brennan's article, police said Grant and Charles Waits, 19, went to the home just before 6 a.m. Sunday to rob the family.

Grant, who resides at 2709 N. Lincoln Ave., faces two counts of first-degree murder and home invasion, jail records show. Waits, who resides at 3612 S. Belcher Dr., was arrested earlier this week and remains in custody in lieu of bond on unrelated drug charges, but police consider him a suspect in the Brito slayings, as well.
