Pedestrian Hit on West Hillsborough Avenue

A woman has been rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital with serious injuries after apparently running into traffic and being hit by oncoming traffic, according to Tampa Police Lt. David Goodman.

As of 11 p.m., investigators remained at the scene at the 3200 block of West Hillsborough Avenue. Police said it appears as though the woman, who was in her mid 30s, ran out in front of westbound traffic into the center lane where she was hit.

At this time, no charges are pending against the driver of the vehicle, Lt. Goodman said.
