OMG PD: Penis Yanked, Houseboat Murders, Spring Break Sex With Teens

We compile the odd, unusual "oh my gosh" police items from throughout the Tampa Bay region.

A 22-year-old Tampa woman is accused of "violently grabbing" her ex-boyfriend's penis during a dispute Tuesday in Bradenton, the Manatee County Sheriff's office reports.

According to deputies, Laquavia Sharelle Wallace came to her ex's residence in the 3500 block of 14th Street West to pick up their daughter. While there, the former couple got into an argument because Wallace wanted to rekindle their relationship, an arrest report states.

The argument became violent, deputies said, when Wallace "grabbed (her ex-boyfriend's) penis with her right hand and began pulling on it," which caused him pain.

She was charged with battery.

A 42-year-old Bradenton woman is charged with having sex with two teenage boys while other teens watched, Sarasota County authorities said Monday.

Jeanine Shimandle is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old and a 17-year-old boy during spring break. The incidents took place on March 11 at a Sarasota home where she was house sitting, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

"Another male and two female teenagers who were also there listened to and, at times, watched the sex acts take place," sheriff's office spokesperson Wendy Rose said in a media release. Shimandle also bought vodka for the teens, authorities allege.

Deputies: Victim Distracted by Prayer Before Purse Nabbed

A couple has been arrested by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, after deputies accuse the woman of distracting a victim by offering to pray with her while the male suspect stole the victim's purse.

The Bradenton Herald reports that the purse was taken Sunday night from a vehicle parked at Walgreen's, at 2640 Cortez Road W.

The victim told the Manatee County Sheriff's Office that she first was approached by the female suspect, who asked the victim to pray along with her.

A male suspect then grabbed the victim's purse, and the suspects fled in opposite directions.

McDonald's Robbery Attempt Comes Up Empty

A robbery attempt at a Bradenton McDonald's came up empty when the three suspects realized there was no money in the cash register, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at the restaurant at 3631 Cortez Rd. W., when deputies say three young men dressed in black entered. One of them, who wore a camouflage bandanna, demanded cash from the register while he had his hand in his pocket, "giving the impression he was armed," a sheriff's report said.

The suspects didn't get any money though, as the cash register was empty.

They fled in a black vehicle of an unknown make, authorities said. 

A man stopped by authorities for a bike violation was Tasered after he allegedly falsely identified himself, then punched a deputy in the arm early Wednesday in Bradenton.

James Rich was stopped by deputies around 12:30 a.m. in the 6200 block of 14th Street West. He originally identified himself as Jonathon Turner, but an ID check run by the deputies came up as Rich, 41, who had a warrant for his arrest out of California, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

As deputies attempted to arrest Rich, he broke free and punched a deputy in the arm, the sheriff's office reports. A backup deputy who was assisting in the arrest deployed his electronic control device, "striking the subject in the back and buttocks area," according to a sheriff's report.

A female airman stationed at MacDill Air Force Base faces murder charges after she told police she stabbed her boyfriend in the chest at her St. Petersburg apartment, authorities said Saturday.

According to St. Petersburg Police, Rashida Williams will be charged with second degree murder. Wayne Charles-Marion Drummer, 23, who reportedly had moved in with Williams about a week earlier, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police say it appears Williams and Drummer were arguing about money prior to the stabbing.

Arrest Made After Elderly Couple Found Slain on Houseboat in St. Pete

Police have arrested a suspect in the double homicide of an elderly man and his live-in girlfriend who were found dead Friday on a houseboat at a St. Petersburg marina, authorities said.

Raynaldo Figueroa-Sanabria, 30, was stopped while driving a rental car in North Carolina and taken into custody, St. Petersburg Police said. 

In additional to first-degree murder warrants in the deaths of the victims, identified as John Joseph Travlos, 75, and Germana Morin, 74, Figueroa-Sanabria also had an outstanding warrant for trafficking in cocaine. Officials said they believe robbery may have been a possible motive in the deaths.

According to police, Travlos and Morin lived together for about a year and a half in Travlos' houseboat/yacht, called "Relax Inn," which was moored at the Loggerhead Marina on 32nd Avenue South.

A man accused in several robberies at knifepoint at businesses around Pinellas County was taken into custody Tuesday, after deputies say they spotted the getaway vehicle at the Coastal Plaza in Dunedin.

The driver of the vehicle, Michael Roger Bourdeau, 45, of Pinellas Park, rammed a Pinellas County Sheriff's cruiser in an attempt to get away Tuesday, April 16, authorities say.

Bourdeau is accused of entering several businesses in Largo, Clearwater and Oldsmar armed with a long knife, each time demanding money.

Accused Dollar General Thief Wanted to be a Sharp Dressed Man?

A New Port Richey man faces misdemeanor theft charges after police say he entered a Tarpon Springs store, took a variety of items, including body spray and sunglasses, and left without paying for them.

The man then made an attempt to elude Tarpon Springs police by fleeing on foot.

In the end, officers arrested Christopher Kaywood, 40, in relation to the 9 a.m. April 13 Dollar General theft. He is accused of taking $35.75 worth of items from the 1947 S. Pinellas Ave. store.

According to Tarpon police, the items taken included a Turtle Wax headlight kit, three pairs of sunglasses, Axe body spray and polypropylene rope. 

A Palm Harbor man faces a felony battery charge after deputies say he hit an elderly person three times in the head.

Jack Theoharris, 37, is charged with felony battery on a person 65 years of age or older. 

The incident happened April 15 when Theoharris was helping the elderly person get dressed for a doctor's appointment, an arrest affidavit said.

Theoharris "struck the victim three times in the head for no apparent reason other than being angry that he had to help the victim get dressed," the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office report said.

Theoharris is said to have struck the victim once on the right side of the head, once on the left and then on the top of the head. During the third strike he said "One for good luck," according to the report.

Authorities: Driver Plows Into Accident Scene

A driver plowed into a New Port Richey accident scene, striking three vehicles and injuring a Florida Highway Patrol trooper, authorities say.

Christopher William Gamel, 42, of Chipmunk Drive in New Port Richey, was arrested and charged with careless driving and multiple counts of DUI personal injury and property damage, according to FHP.

The incident occurred late Friday, April 12 on State Road 54, west of Little Road. Troopers say Gamel was traveling westbound around 11:40 p.m. when he came upon the investigation scene and failed to stop for the emergency vehicles, which had their emergency lights activated. Gamel’s 2007 Pontiac G6 struck a Florida Highway Patrol car and a tow truck parked on the inside lane and a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office Service Patrol Truck in the center lane.

Trooper Mike Hollis, who was outside his patrol car, was also sideswiped by Gamel’s vehicle, according to FHP. Hollis suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies: Woman Left Toddler in Hot Car

A New Port Richey woman stands accused of leaving a 2 1/2-year-old girl unattended in a locked car in a Walmart parking lot with the windows up and no air conditioning.

Sarah Lacy left her child in the car for 24 minutes in the afternoon on Sunday, April 7, according to an arrest report from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. The report says it was 81 degrees outside the car.

The report says Lacy went to her car to get a debit car at one point during this incident and then went back into the store.

Someone saw the girl in the car and informed store employees.

A 75-year-old man who shot another driver during an altercation did not make the first move, authorities say.

Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies continue to investigate the Land O' Lakes shooting, 

John Michael Omara, of Land O’ Lakes, was approached by a 51-year-old man and struck through an open driver’s side window, deputies say. Omara then shot the man in the upper part of his shoulder. The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Thieves Nab $800 in Perfume From Citrus Park Store

A man and woman stole more than $800 in perfume from Ulta Beauty in Citrus Park, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The incident occurred on March 26 around 1:55 p.m. when the suspects entered the store located at 12715 Citrus Park Dr., in Tampa and removed multiple bottles of perfume and cologne. The stolen merchandise was worth $819, according to a report released by the sheriff's office.

The couple placed the stolen items in the male suspect's jacket.  The suspect then fled the store in an unknown direction.

A man walked in to the Macy's store at Brandon Westfield mall last week and quickly ran back out of the store with a stack of clothes in his arms, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

In video provided by the Sheriff's Office, a man can be seen walking into the store at 5:38 p.m. on April 8. After stopping near a table, he moves back towards the exit and quickly exits the store.

In his arms, he has 10 blue Ralph Lauren Polo shirts for which he did not pay, deputies say. The shirts are valued at $750.
