Patch: How did you become interested in firefighting?

Jones: My father was a firefighter here in Tampa. Terry Jones. He retired as assistant chief in 2003.

Patch: What’s your most memorable call?

Jones: There are so many. … We had a propane-tank farm fire off of Orient Road and Adamo Drive. It was a pretty large incident and one of the more dangerous calls we’ve had. Little propane canisters were shooting off and exploding all over.

Patch: What’s your favorite color?

Jones: Blue.

Patch: What’s the last movie you saw?

Jones: “Despicable Me.” I thought it was funny.
