Hometown: Tampa, FL

Patch: What do you like most about your job?

Radford: The ability to impact others and to help them when they need help. To be out there and to be able to make a difference in the public in the city that I live in.

Patch: How did you become interested in firefighting?

Radford: I am a third generation firefighter. My father served 30 years for the city of Tampa. My grandfather worked in Oklahoma. I grew up watching my dad go to work and watching the fire trucks roll by. From my earliest memories it was something that I wanted to do.

Patch: What’s your most memorable call?

Radford: About a year ago we were able to save a 16-year-old that was in cardiac arrest. He made a complete recovery and is a normal, functioning 16-year-old.

Patch: What’s your favorite color?

Radford: Red.

Patch: What was the last movie you saw?

Radford: “Sanctum,” it was a movie about exploring caves and it had a really good twist.
