Patch: What do you like most about your job?
Gray: That there is so many different aspects of it [the job.] It’s never the same. Every day is different. It’s every level of dealing with people you could possibly have in one job.
Patch: How did you become interested in firefighting?
Gray: I was initially involved in public safety through law enforcement. I saw the firefighters in a family environment cooking dinner and having a close bond. I saw that that there was the adrenaline rush, and the public safety aspect of it. It just seemed more of like a family environment and I looked into it from there.
Patch: What was your most memorable call?
Gray: I have seen some interesting things from the EMS (emergency medical services) aspect of the job. A lot of those mix together and make a lot of numerous calls because I have never been involved with the medical aspect. Everything is so much of a learning experience with me. Everything for me is brand new. I can’t say I have one call that stands out over another one because they’re all pretty interesting at this point.
Patch: What’s your favorite color?
Gray: Black.
Patch: What was the last movie you saw?
Gray: "House Bunny."
