Patch: What do you like most about your job?
Ayuso: The diversity helping aspect. The adrenaline of going to calls. You never know what you’re going to get when you go on a call. To save a life it’s worth it, whatever risk you have to take.
Patch: How did you become interested in firefighting?
Ayuso: I like the rescue aspect. I always wanted to join the Coast Guard. I had a friend that wanted me to be a cop, but I don’t have the patience to be a cop. I always wanted to do the rescue part so I joined the fire service.
Patch: What was your most memorable call?
Ayuso: I saved a woman in a house fire. It was in Ybor City, and it was my first year. There was a fire in the house, and we went and did a search and rescue and I pulled her out of the house and we took her to the hospital from there.
Patch: What’s your favorite color?
Ayuso: Blue.
Patch: What was the last movie you saw?
Ayuso: "Hall Pass"
