Patch: How did you become interested in firefighting?
Walker: My father-in-law. My father was a fireman in Tampa from ’67 to ’69, and then he started his own business. My father-in-law retired from the city of Tampa fire department.
Patch: What’s your most memorable call?
Walker: I went to a propane farm that was on fire and blowing up. It was across from the jail on Orient road. It’s probably the only time in my career that I didn’t think that I’d survive.
Patch: What’s your favorite color?
Walker: It has to be red.
Patch: What was the last movie you saw?
Walker: "Pirates of the Caribbean."
