Man Punched, Robbed at Bus Stop Near Seminole Heights

A man was assaulted at a bus stop near Seminole Heights in an incident that was reported to the Tampa Police Department on Saturday.

On Friday, a man in his early 20's sat down next to the victim at a bus stop and asked him for change, a TPD report says. When the victim pulled out his wallet from his back pocket, the man punched the victim in the side of his face, took the wallet and fled southbound on North Boulevard from Hillsborough Avenue, the report says.

The victim found his wallet, which had been discarded by the suspect, but cash was missing from it.

The suspect was a black man who is about 5'11 and skinny with short cut hair, a white tank top and blue jeans.
