A man cutting trees near Seminole Heights is in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital after being electrocuted when he touched a power line.

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to 1923 E. Henry Ave. just after 9:30 a.m. this morning, June 20.

33 year-old Trent D. Gobble from Center Drive in Wimauma was in a lift bucket cutting trees when he touched a high voltage power line, according to an email from Tampa Fire Rescue. He was lowered to the ground and treated on the scene by Tampa Fire Rescue workers. He was later taken to TGH where he is currently in critical condition.

Gobble was working for Ameriscape Services while trimming the trees.
