Dan Williams, 77, was struck by a pickup truck Sunday night as he tried to cross West Busch Boulevard at North Boulevard. No charges have been filed against the driver.

A Lowry Park Central man was killed Sunday night after he was hit by a pickup truck while crossing West Busch Boulevard at North Boulevard, Tampa Police said.

Dan Williams, 77, of 1308 W. Hollywood St., was using the crosswalk against a green light when he was struck by a Ford 500 traveling eastbound on Busch around 8:49 p.m. Sunday. He died at the scene.

The driver, Joshua Julian, 29, of Tampa, had a green light and "did not see the victim in the roadway until it was too late," Tampa Police officer Irene Thomas wrote in a media release. Witnesses at the scene corroborated the driver's statement, Thomas said.
