Hillsborough Sheriff Honors Fallen Heroes
A portion of the law enforcement agency's website is now dedicated to the military personnel who have died since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Do you remember the names of all the soldiers from Hillsborough County that have died since America went to war following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks?
Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee does and he wants to make sure they and their counterparts from around the country are not forgotten. To that end, Gee has announced the creation of a special section on the sheriff’s office website that honors America’s “Military Fallen Heroes.”
On this section of the sheriff’s office website, viewers can see a scrolling list of all those from around the country who have died. It also includes archived information dating back to 2002.

“Sheriff David Gee created the new web feature as a way to remind everyone of the sacrifices of our troops around the world and to extend our gratitude to each Fallen Hero who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn and Operation Enduring Freedom,” Detective Larry McKinnon wrote in the media release.
