Firefighters Rescue Family Pets, After Pot Sparks Kitchen Blaze

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a fire Wednesday, with two family dogs inside the smoke-filled house.

Tampa Fire Rescue Crews revived two family dogs by using Pet Oxygen Masks Wednesday morning, after a house at 8401 10th St. North caught fire and quickly filled with smoke.

According to fire officials:

"Tampa Fire Rescue Rescue 7 administered emergency care to the family pets through Pet Oxygen Masks and at this point the dogs are alive...  There was
nobody home at the time and when the owner returned she was overjoyed."

Crews quickly contained and extinguished the kitchen fire, though smoke filled the home, with the two family pets left inside.  

Tampa Fire Rescue Truck Company 13 crews rescued the two dogs from
the home.
