A pattern of commercial burglaries has arisen in Central Tampa over the past three weeks, according to a Tampa Police report. Detectives are paying special attention to the trend and are warning business owners to be on the alert.

In each of the incidents, burglars used bricks to smash windows or glass doors to gain entry. In five of the burglaries, cash registers or drawers within them were taken. Most of the burglaries happened along Hillsborough and Nebraska avenues.
