  • Cycle Masters of Old Seminole Heights fell victim to robbery after thieves opened the rear fence of the facility and stole a Kawasaki dirt bike. A local resident questioned the thieves about the bike at which time they dropped it and ran. When the citizen went to get a phone and notify police, the thieves returned and made off with the dirt bike.
  • Thieves kicked in the rear door of a residence in the 7700 block of North Taliaferro Avenue where they stole copper wiring from the attic, a secondary air conditioning unit inside the house and from the main air conditioning unit outside. Crime scene technicians were able to obtain finger prints.

Saturday July 28

  • Multiple cars were stolen from the Advance Rental Car in the 5400 block of Nebraska Avenue after thieves removed three TECO meters, shut off circuit breakers and removed a large gate from a fence around the parking lot. They then pried open the back door of the facility and stole keys to the vehicles.
  • Three suspects were arrested after pulling their vehicle alongside two people walking southbound on Nebraska Avenue near East Sitka Street and aiming a firearm at the pedestrians. The assailant demanded the victims lay on the ground, but one of the victims ran. The armed man shot several rounds at the victim before fleeing. TPD would catch up to the assailant vehicle, arresting three people and obtaining the weapons which turned out to be 9 millimeter replica BB guns. Those arrested were charged with attempted armed robbery and aggravated assault.
